Boosted autos guarantee gooey being inflicted on the enemy. Power Whip seems to be a better way to have the enemy stick to you.īoosted auto: Will ensure basic hits lower cool down by 1.5 seconds only after hitting a Pokemon inflicted by gooey. It's not a reliable means of escape or engagement for that matter. The dash distance is small but can pass through thin walls. The first hit will inflict this debuff, and the second hit is a small dash that can throw enemies that are inflicted by the acid sprays initial hit. It'll slow affected enemies by 40% for 2 seconds. Sort of a dash: Acid Spray is a debuffing move. It's also on a 12 sec CD which is low seeing as the effect can last 3 seconds. I've found this extremely useful often times healing myself about a quarter of my HP when I'm really low. Gooey can also trigger some health regen when it enters tall grass. Gooey also decreases attack speed by 30% for 2 seconds. The slow starts at 8% and lasts for 6 seconds. Diving this Pokemon puts the enemy at risk of a slow debuff. Gooey: His passive makes melee characters question whether they want to engage it. If I can't run like ever, I might as well stay alive long enough to inflict damage. You can mitigate this with X-speed or eject button, but I've been leaning into my lack of movement. When you're approached by an enemy you need to essentially commit to the fight. He's in the 3.7 Movement speed tier, so he's average in base movement speed, but like a true tank he'll feel slow because he has no way besides using his unite move of naturally raising his movement speed. Muddy Water: Low 4 second cool down, AoE move, boosts effective HP for 2 seconds and this stacks up to 4 times, debuffs enemies damaged by this move decreasing their damage by 10% for 3 seconds He's a debuffing Defender with a unique passive that thrives in melee combat. If you're an all rounder main, I'd also suggest you pick him up. If you're a defender main, I'd highly suggest you pick it up.
